Welcome to Room 7! My name is Chris Imlay and I am a first grade teacher here at Barnard. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to have seen a lot of the world. I have spent the last two summers in China teaching English and traveling to several cities. (My favorite was Lijiang!) I have developed a great admiration for the culture of China and I hope that I can pass this on to my students. I was born in San Diego and have been teaching for the last nine years all at Barnard. It took me a while but I have finally found my calling in life and love being a teacher. Some of our focus for the next month are: Language Arts: Non Fiction- Discussing the main idea of a book. Math: Addition and Subtraction Science: Air and Weather Social Studies: Social skills and responsibilities. Health: Making good choices to stay healthy.
