The Korea Daily San Diego is our newest Partner in Education

Signing Ceremony for our new Partner in Education, The Korea Daily San Diego, took place yestereday, Wednesday, March 21. The President of the Korea Daily, Kwan Mook Chung was the honored signer in an event witnessed by the entire school, PTA, community and honored guests.

Three of Ms. Cornell's students who did an outstanding job on their Mission Projects were selected today in class to be entered into the San Diego History Center's Mission Project competition.

4th Annual Passport to China Year of the Dragon Community Celebration

More than 700 people came from all over San Diego County to celebrate Passport to China Year of the Dragon event at Barnard past Saturday. Various performing arts group from the Asian Community in San Diego shared their culture through music, dance, and martial arts to welcome in the Lunar New Year.

The talent show is 6 p.m. Friday, May 18, in the auditorium. Pizza and drinks for sale starting at 5:30 p.m. Cheer on the kids!

SATURDAY: CAMPUS CLEANUP
The last Barnard cleanup day of this school year is Saturday May 19th from 9:00 am to noon.
There are tables to clean, weeds to pull, stuff to pick up, and we'll add a general gleam to the school to help last through this summer school and into the fall.

Mandarin Chinese Immersion Summer School slated at Barnard to run from July 9 - August 3.
Details will be forthcoming but right now we are happy to announce that there will be Summer School for our students to keep their Mandarin skills sharp over the long summer break. It is from July 9 through August 3, 2012. The hours are from 8:00 am - Noon.

Congratulations Mia Salatka for winning the Friends of the San Diego Public Libraries Essay Contest for Fourth Graders!

Students from all over the County submitted essays for this very honored annual essay contest. Mia's essay was chosen to represent Barnard and was forward with other fourth grade submissions. Mia's well written essay was chosen as the best essay in her grade level!!
